There is parking available on site! We are the square white house! Please park in front of the designated client parking sign to the right in front of the house & hug that side of the driveway to allow for parking of one more vehicle beside you! Thank you
Get excited & start thinking about your treatment goals! Fill out the “Reason for Visit” form (emailed 48 hours before every appointment) to maximize your treatment time & help us give you a personalized treatment :)
Please fill out all intake forms through the online booking portal sent to your emails at least 24 hours prior to your initial treatment
Informed consent is always first!! Here is when we will discuss your comfort level for the treatment that day, and obtain verbal consent, and when needed - written consent. No matter how young the child, we will always ask for their permission to move forward with treatment, & even for infants, we always begin with asking baby if they are ready & observe for cues :) There will always be an opportunity to ask questions!
Every treatment begins with a quick assessment! This will always include a conversation about treatment goals, focus areas, & concerns! Depending on the circumstances/concerns, this time may also include a hands-on assessment that consists of: palpation, range of motion &/or special orthopedic tests. If you are pregnant, there will always be a pre-treatment blood pressure reading as well
The best part! Every treatment will look different depending on treatment booked & daily treatment focus. During every treatment, you can choose which essential oil you would like & opt in or out of hot towels & cold mini stones as part of your treatment! We will be checking in to inquire about pressure & comfort (please note that we do not offer “deep tissue” pressure)
Read more about what to expect for your specific treatment on our "Treatments & Benefits” page
As with pre-treatment, this will always include a conversation! We will discuss your response to treatment & any improvements you feel. If a hands-on assessment was conducted pre-treatment, we will re-assess those same areas to take note of any changes! If you are pregnant, there will always be a post-treatment blood pressure reading
No two postpartum treatments will ever look the same as we follow baby’s lead, & your treatment needs can vary so greatly even from day to day! The treatment may look like this: quick verbal assessment & consent followed by some time semi-reclined working head, neck, shoulders while you breastfeed. Maybe then we try to treat you on your side while your little one lays beside you or maybe you need to walk/rock baby to sleep so we take a quick water break. However the treatment needs to go!
You need a massage so badly but mama doesn't want to or can’t leave baby at home with anyone else! I HAVE BEEN THERE. It can be so difficult to get the care you need as you heal from bringing your baby into the world! What we have available for you to use in an effort to treat you while you take care of your baby: baby bouncer, bassinet, bedside bassinet that we can ‘attach’ to massage table, baby swing (swings both ways & vibrates), white noise machine, rocking chair.
You will always be provided with home care suggestions such as: self-massage, hydrotherapy, exercise parameters, stretches, breathing techniques, etc...
Although this is rare with relaxation treatments, due to the manual stretching of soft tissue structures that occurs during a treatment with a more moderate pressure, it is possible that there may be residual soreness (like that of which you would feel after a low impact work out) in the 24-48 hours following.
You may find yourself more thirsty, or sleepy, or with fluctuating emotions - all of which are nothing to be alarmed about, but it is important to listen to your body & provide what it is telling you that it needs.
I am always here if you would like to contact me regarding anything that you may be feeling post treatment! Please do not hesitate to reach out.
Please note that we do require 24 hours notice for treatment cancellations, so that we may offer your appointment time to someone else in need on our waitlist. Failure to cancel 24 hours prior will result in a $30 +HST cancellation fee to recover some lost profit that we would have otherwise gained by booking another patient in your place. On a first “no show” appointment without any notice, clients will be subject to a $30 no show fee. In the event of a second missed appointment without any notice, clients will be subject to the entire treatment fee. (fee + HST)
